Arjun Kapoor turned a year older today. The actor is currently celebrating his 37th birthday with his ladylove Malaika Arora in Paris. Now, in a recent interview, the actor talked about he got his first role in the film ‘Ishaqzaade’.

Talking about the same, Arjun stated that the producer of the film, Aditya Chopra had rejected his photos and said that he couldn’t be the lead in a film. The ‘Gunday’ actor revealed that Chopra had said that he would be good in supporting roles.

Arjun went on to share that the casting director of Aditya Chopra’s production house took him under her guidance and trained him. The ‘Half Girlfriend’ star also added that he got selected after the producer watched an unedited clip of the actor, where he was just being himself.

Arjun stated that even though he belonged to a film family, he wanted to make it on his own. And when he met Aditya Chopra and got his first film, he felt that he has achieved something big.

On the work front, Arjun will next feature in ‘Ek Villain Returns’ helmed by Mohit Suri. The film has been slated to hit the theatres on July 29.
